Salvatore Piccolo is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Bergamo, Italy.

Salvatore is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Bergamo and a CSEF member. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University. His scientific interests are mainly in the fields of industrial organization and information economics, with applications to cartels, distribution channels, information acquisition and information sharing, leniency programs, and vertical restraints.  His other fields of research are the economics of crime and financial economics.

Recently Salvatore has published articles in journals including the Journal of Public Economics, the Economic Journal, the International Journal of Industrial Organization, Management Science, Rand Journal of Economics, Review of Finance, and the Review of Economic Studies.
