Kadambari Prasad is a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in London. She has a decade and a half of experience in abuse of dominance cases, cartel investigations, merger control, and arbitration and litigation cases.
She has significant expertise in the valuation of intellectual property, in particular the valuation of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) on terms that are fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory. She has been involved in litigations and private arbitrations relating to SEPs in cellular connectivity and audio and video codecs in a number of jurisdictions (UK, Europe, the US, China and India). She also has expertise in determination of fair and reasonable terms in digital markets (in particular, app stores) in relation to the implementation of the DMA and ex-ante regulations in other jurisdictions, in training generative AI models on copyright protected content as well as terms in access to passive infrastructure (in particular telecom towers) in relation to the implementation of the GIA. She has written about the application of fair and reasonable terms across sectors.
She also has significant expertise in leading major abuse of dominance investigations, for example in the European Commission’s Article 102 investigations of Apple (App Store practices - music streaming), Qualcomm (exclusivity payments and predation), and Ofcom’s investigation of Royal Mail and the subsequent appeal at the CAT. Moreover, she has significant experience in advising on A101 matters, in particular the European Commission investigations in SSA bonds, where she testified at the General Court.
She has been recognised as ‘Future Leader’ in Lexology – Competition Economists lists in 2024 and 2025, and she teaches on CRESSE Summer School on Competition Policy and Regulation.
Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, she worked at another economic consultancy and taught at the University of Oxford. She holds a DPhil and an MPhil in economics from Nuffield College, Oxford and a BSc in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
