Andy Parkinson is a Vice President in Compass Lexecon’s European competition policy practice, based in London.

Andy has over 10 years of experience advising clients on the economics of competition law cases. He has been recognized as one of the leading competition economists by Global Competition Review and by Who’s Who Legal in their Competition – Future Leaders 2018 publication.

Andy has extensive experience in merger cases before the European Commission and national authorities, including several Phase II cases (Bayer/Monsanto, Halliburton/Baker Hughes, Ryanair/Aer Lingus, Universal/EMI, Unilever/Sara Lee Personal Care, and others) and many others approved at Phase I.

Andy has also advised on private damages litigations before the UK High Court and elsewhere arising from cartels and abuses of dominance; on investigations of abuse of dominance before the European Commission; and on market investigations before the UK CMA and South African authorities.

He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from University College London (UCL), where he specialized in industrial organization, and an M.A. (Cantab) in Economics from Queens’ College, University of Cambridge.
