Compass Lexecon is proud to announce that Kirsten Edwards-Warren and Elena Zoido have been recognised in the Global Competition Review (GCR) Women in Antitrust 2021 list, among 6 leading economic consultants.

In the sixth edition of its Women in Antitrust list, GCR recognizes more than 130 female private practitioners, enforcers, in-house counsel, economists and academics globally for their standout careers and ground-breaking contributions in the field of competition.

Kirsten Edwards-Warren, Executive Vice President and Deputy Head of Compass Lexecon EMEA, has advised on over 50 mergers in the UK and Europe and on various recent Article 102 investigations into excessive pricing, exclusivity rebates, and predation. Based in London, Kirsten has worked as a professional economist for over 20 years in both consulting and UK competition agencies.

On being featured as a “trailblazer” at the top of their game, Kirsten commented: “There are so many smart people in this industry, so my colleagues, competitors and the authorities keep my brain keen.”

Elena Zoido, Executive Vice President, has 19 years of experience as an economic consultant, advising in competition policy matters and on the quantification of damages in litigation and arbitration. Based in Madrid, Elena has advised clients from a wide range of industries and multiple jurisdictions, including the European Union, Spain, UK, France, Italy, U.S. and Latin America.

Elena commented on the growth of the industry for rising female economists: “Young female economists now joining the workforce face a more competitive environment, I think, but also one where companies are more diverse and resources are put into ensuring that it remains that way.”
