Elena Zoido is an Executive Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Madrid. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.A. in Economics and Finance from CEMFI.
Elena has fifteen years of experience in the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques in the context of the quantification of damages in litigation and arbitration and in competition policy issues. She has advised clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation and consumer goods.
Her work has included the application of empirical models to evaluate the competitive impact of mergers and to estimate damages in price fixing and patent infringement investigations, and she has provided advice and expert reports in the context of merger control, Article 101 and Article 102 TFUE proceedings. She has given expert testimony before the European Commission, the Spanish competition authorities, international arbitration courts and the Spanish courts.
Elena has published in a number of academic journals including The Review of Economics and Statistics. She is listed in the Who’s Who of Competition Economists and she featured in the GCR Women in Antitrust Survey in 2013 and in the GCR Thought Leaders Competition 2018.
