Dr. Walter Torous, Noted UCLA Anderson School of Management Professor of Finance and Founding Director of the Ziman Center for Real Estate, Joins Compass Lexecon

Compass Lexecon LLC is pleased to announce that Dr. Walter Torous has joined the firm from Analysis Group. Professor Torous is the latest in a series of leading finance experts to join Compass Lexecon, an esteemed group that now includes Nobel Laureate Professor Robert Engle (also formerly affiliated with Analysis Group), Professor Bradford Cornell (from Charles River Associates), Professors Kenneth Lehn and Allen Ferrell (both from Cornerstone Research), and Professor Christopher Culp (from Chicago Partners, now Navigant Consulting).
One of the leading experts on a wide variety of mortgage-related securities, Professor Torous serves as the Lee and Seymour Graff Professor of Finance at the UCLA John E. Anderson School of Management where he teaches managerial finance, real estate finance, and empirical methods in finance. He has also taught at MIT, the London Business School, and the University of Michigan. Dr. Torous' research interests include the pricing of financial instruments (options, future, risky debt, mortgages), the reorganization of financially distressed firms, as well as statistical issues in finance. In addition to his teaching and research, Professor Torous has lent his expertise in several civil actions.
