Digital Economy and Quantitative Marketing Expert Anja Lambrecht Affiliates with Compass Lexecon

We are excited to announce that Anja Lambrecht, a Professor of Marketing at London Business School, has affiliated with Compass Lexecon. She also previously served as an independent Digital Expert for the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority.

Professor Anja Lambrecht is an expert in digital marketing and the digital economy. She uses field experiments and econometric methods to research issues related to digital platforms and digital markets, including online advertising and targeting, pricing and promotions, algorithmic biases, and decision processes of consumers. She also researches the impact of AI on the digital economy and consumers’ online behavior. Professor Lambrecht has applied her expertise to consulting and expert witness engagements for companies including Amazon, Google, Meta, and Zoom.

Professor Lambrecht’s work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, and Management Science. She has received multiple awards for her research, including the Paul E. Green Award, the William F. O’Dell Award, the AMA TechSIG-Lazaridis Prize, and she was a finalist for the INFORMS Society of Marketing Science Long-Term Impact Award. Professor Lambrecht is an Associate Editor at Journal of Marketing Research and Management Science.

Before joining London Business School, Professor Lambrecht was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Frankfurt. Professor Lambrecht has a PhD from Goethe University, Frankfurt. She also holds a Diplom-Kauffrau from Goethe University, Frankfurt, and a Maîtrise des Sciences de Gestion from Université Paris-Dauphine, Paris.
