We are pleased to announce that Compass Lexecon has been recognized as the top expert witness firm by Global Arbitration Review (GAR) for the second year in a row. GAR, the leading resource on international arbitration news, announced the results for their Expert Witness Firms' Power Index at the 9th Annual GAR Awards Ceremony which took place in Paris on April 4, 2019.

GAR's Power Index looks at information gathered from international arbitration hearings to quantify the activity of expert firms over a two-year period. Using data reported by GAR 100 law firms, the model assesses the average and median size of claims handled by expert firms, and weighs the number of appearances at hearings, the number of experts featured in GAR's Who's Who Legal Expert Witness list and those voted as Thought Leaders in industry surveys.

Compass Lexecon's international arbitration practice has more than 55 full-time economists. Their ranking in the Power Index follows their recognition in GAR's sister publication, Who's Who Legal, and their 2019 Arbitration Expert Witnesses Analysis. Compass Lexecon had 20 experts recognized as the world's most highly regarded arbitration experts from North America, EMEA and Latin America. Five of these experts were named amongst the Global Elite Thought Leaders in Arbitration. In North America, Dr. Manuel A. Abdala and Professor Pablo T. Spiller topped the list at #1 and #2 respectively, with Pablo D. Lopez Zadicoff also ranking in the top five. In the EMEA region, Boaz Moselle was among the top five Global Elite Thought Leaders and Sebastian Zuccon was recognized as the only Global Elite Thought Leader in Arbitration in the Latin America region.
