For the nineteenth consecutive year, Compass Lexecon has been ranked as an “Elite” competition economics consulting firm by Global Competition Review (GCR) in the 2026 edition of the GCR 100.

Our ranking reflects our work on competition matters in the past year, as well as the number of economists recognized in the Lexology Index: Competition Guide, which features 66 Compass Lexecon professionals this year.

During the GCR 100 2026 research window, Compass Lexecon advised on several high-profile antitrust and competition matters, including the landmark FTC v. Meta antitrust suit, Illumina’s €5.9 billion acquisition of Grail, the historic $69 billion Microsoft/Activision merger, and the $34 billion Bunge/Viterra merger.

GCR notes Compass Lexecon’s “strong bench of economists, two-thirds of whom dedicate most of their time to competition matters” and our global presence that covers “15 jurisdictions, including Brussels, London, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Washington, DC.”

GCR also highlighted the 15 competition economists who have affiliated with Compass Lexecon in the past year, including former FTC Bureau of Economics Director Ginger Jin, former FCC Chief Economist William Rogerson, and leading academics such as B. Douglas Bernheim, Matthew Gentzkow, and John List.
