Carla Chavich Named Lexology Index 2026 Mining Expert of the Year

Compass Lexecon expert Carla Chavich, Executive Vice President and Head of the International Arbitration Americas Practice, was named the 2026 Mining Expert of the Year by Lexology Index. The award recognizes Carla’s exceptional performance in Lexology Index’s research, which combines client feedback and recommendations with matter data.

Carla received the award during the Lexology Index awards ceremony in London on 5 November 2026. Carla reacted: “I’m proud and grateful. Carla has more than 20 years of experience as an economist working on international arbitration matters, performing economic, regulatory and financial analyses in commercial and treaty disputes. She has participated in more than 100 arbitration cases, providing expert opinions on damages assessment, contract interpretation and regulatory conduct across a variety of sectors, including the mining and metals sector.

Compass Lexecon also won Lexology Index’s award for Competition Economics Firm of the Yea and the Spain Experts Country Award. Executive Vice President Boaz Moselle received individual recognition as Energy Expert of the Year for the third time in a row.
