Yadira is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Yadira is part of the Energy Practice at Compass Lexecon since 2022, with a focus on energy market regulation and design as well as decarbonisation strategies and econometric analyses. She has worked on a variety of assignments, including for government authorities, European institutions, network operators, utilities as well as data centers.

In the electricity sector, Yadira has worked extensively on market design and regulatory assignments. She has contributed to different benchmarking exercises and case studies, including on regulatory incentive mechanisms for network operators and flexible grid access frameworks. Moreover, she has advised different data center clients on regulatory developments in the electricity sector, in particular on grid connection processes and network investment conditions in selected European countries. She has supported the analysis of alternative bidding zone configurations in Europe based on a quantitative assessments to evaluate market liquidity.

Her work also includes assignments on decarbonisation and carbon markets. Yadira has contributed to the development and design options for an emissions trading system in Ukraine. She also advised utilities in the development of decarbonisation strategies.

She contributed to the support for the Belgian government during the pre-notification and in-depth investigation by the European Commission into State aid provided by the Belgian state to extend the lifetime of two nuclear reactors.

Yadira holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Mannheim (Germany).
