William Hrycay

William Hrycay is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in New York. Mr. Hrycay specializes in expert analysis relevant to securities litigation, including business valuation, distressed company analysis, solvency, and bankruptcy disputes.

He has submitted an expert report and provided deposition and trial testimony U.S. Bankruptcy Court and submitted expert reports in U.S. federal and state court proceedings and an international arbitration. His expert reports and testimony addressed topics including commercial damages from a joint venture, the expected impact of financing on business value, procedures for valuation of distressed debt, the appropriate discount rate for pension liabilities, damages in an employment dispute, estimated damages from a distressed debt investment, and the projected value of an investment portfolio.

He has managed numerous projects related to litigation pertaining to corporate finance, business valuations, bankruptcy, fraudulent conveyance, distressed debt, lost profits, mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, joint ventures, derivatives, management options, estimated damages to securities holders, cross-border intercompany debt, and other securities disputes. He has also managed other projects concerning valuation of carve outs, liquidity stress testing for financial institutions, appraisals, tax valuations, goodwill impairment testing, and purchase price allocations.
