Omar Urdaneta M.

Omar Urdaneta M. is an Economist with Compass Lexecon based in Houston, Texas. His work focuses on asset valuation, regulatory analysis, and assessment of economic damages in the context of commercial and investment disputes under venues such as ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA.

Mr. Urdaneta has worked on cases involving assets in the oil & gas, consumer products, transportation, electricity generation and financial services industries in diverse locations including Belgium, Chile, Croatia, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

These matters involved economic, financial and regulatory analysis, the development of complex and customized valuation models, drafting of written expert testimony, and preparation of expert witnesses for oral testimony before courts and arbitration tribunals.

Mr. Urdaneta holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Political Science from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Venezuela. Mr. Urdaneta received his M.B.A. in Energy from the School of Energy Economics & Commerce at The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma (Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honors) where he was the recipient of the Wiley Graduate Scholarship.
