Margarida Matos Rosa

Margarida Matos Rosa is a Senior Consultant at Compass Lexecon. Margarida has extensive experience in competition policy, financial regulation, and international affairs. She most recently served as President of Portugal’s competition authority, the Autoridade da Concorrência. Before that, she held senior roles at the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), including Managing Director of the Collective Investment Management Supervision Department and advisor to the Board, where she focused on systemic risk, asset management, and international regulation.

Earlier in her career, Margarida worked in the banking sector, gaining experience across investment and financial services. She is a Fulbright alumna and conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She holds a degree in Economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University.
