Elaine is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Beijing, with a focus on antitrust, litigation, and merger control.
Elaine joined Compass Lexecon in June 2026 after completing her Ph.D. in Economics at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE), where her research focused on empirical industrial organization, health economics, and food economics.
Her doctoral research applied structural demand estimation, dynamic modeling, and quasi-experimental methods, including difference-in-differences and moment inequality estimation, to questions in competition and public policy.
Elaine has experience applying empirical econometric and structural modeling techniques using Stata, R, Python, MATLAB, and SAS.
She is fluent in Mandarin and English, with intermediate proficiency in French.
