Duygu Tutluoglu is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Madrid.
Duygu’s work focuses on the application of economic and financial analysis to valuation and damages assessments, and price review disputes in the energy sector. Duygu has worked on numerous cases presented before regulatory authorities and International Arbitration courts.
Duygu’s experience includes quantifying the damages resulting from respondent’s failure to supply gas to the claimant in the Middle East, analysis of the natural gas markets in Europe and Asia in the context of natural gas price reviews and quantifying the damages resulting from a country’s breaches of treaties by reviewing gas pricing contracts and modelling gas pricing formulas. Duygu has a wide range of experience in the preparation of expert reports presented before the regulatory authorities and tribunals.
Duygu’s also assisted on merger investigations (e.g., Orange/MásMóvil) as well as antitrust investigations and follow-on litigation proceedings in a wide range of industries including aviation, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and technology.
Duygu holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (CEMFI, Madrid), where she specialized in applied microeconomics, competition and regulation, and corporate finance. She is fluent in Turkish, English and Spanish.
