Diego Eduardo de la Vega is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon based in Buenos Aires. He has worked with Compass Lexecon for over seven years, primarily focusing on economic, financial, and regulatory analysis in the context of commercial and investment arbitrations, as well as the valuation of businesses and assets.
Mr. de la Vega has worked on cases across various industries, including agribusiness, construction, consumer goods, energy, environmental services and waste collection, financial services, pharmaceuticals, real estate, telecommunications, and transportation, in connection with arbitration proceedings related to Argentina, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, the United States, and Venezuela. These matters have involved the development of complex, customized valuation models; the production of expert reports; preparation of experts for hearings; and direct support to counsel and clients throughout arbitration proceedings. He has also been engaged in consulting activities related to the oil and gas sector in Argentina and Chile, telecommunications auctions in Colombia and the United States, and antitrust matters in Argentina and Ecuador.
Mr. de la Vega holds an MSc in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA, Argentina) and a BSc in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (UNT, Argentina).
