Ariel N. Medvedeff, CFA is a Senior Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Miami, USA and Co-Head of the Construction Arbitration Practice. He has more than 14 years of experience performing financial, economic, regulatory, and public policy analyses.

Mr. Medvedeff has provided expert testimony and contributed to the production of expert reports in more than 50 litigations and treaty and commercial arbitration disputes of multiple institutions, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, and PCA, among others. He has been included amongst the ‘Global Elite Thought Leaders – Expert Witnesses in Arbitration’ by Global Arbitration Review’s publication, Who’s Who Legal in 2023, which describes him as “an ‘incredibly sharp and convincing’ expert and a key name in Florida whom ‘arbitrators really like.’

His experience encompasses projects in various industries, including oil and gas upstream and downstream; electricity generation, transmission and distribution; hospitality and real estate; construction; agriculture; mining; transport concessions; telecommunications, and airlines. These engagements involved assets located in Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela), North America (Canada), and EMEA (Bahrain, Egypt, Hungary, Kenya, Senegal and Spain).

Mr. Medvedeff’s academic activities include teaching classes on regulatory and financial analysis and on damages assessment in litigation and arbitration disputes in various universities.

Mr. Medvedeff holds a B.A. in economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina) and holds the internationally recognized Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, granted by the CFA Institute.
