Anir Eddarifi is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.

Anir’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and empirical techniques to competition policy cases, with expertise in market definition, and analysis of catchment areas and bidding data.

Recently, he assisted in providing economic advice to parties in merger proceedings of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles/Peugeot and HP/Samsung (Printers) before the European Commission. He was also part of the team providing economic advice to parties in merger proceedings of Hitachi and ABB’s Power Grid division, notified before the European Commission, and in a number of other jurisdictions including Canada, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan. His responsibilities included the assessment of product and geographic market definitions and competitive constraints globally.

Anir has also assisted clients with the elaboration of economic reports related to patents in the telecommunications sector. Currently, he is working on the estimation of damages in context of legal proceedings following an Article 101 TFEU infringement by heavy truck manufacturers.

Anir holds a B.Sc. and a Maîtrise in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics and an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
