Prysmian / General Cable Merger Cleared by European Commission

In May 2018, the European Commission unconditionally approved the merger between Prysmian and General Cable. Both parties are active in the development, manufacturing, and supply of cables used in the energy and telecommunications industries.
Compass Lexecon assisted Prysmian during the proceedings before the European Commission. We provided an economic analysis of the competitive effects of Prysmian's acquisition. The Compass Lexecon team included Jorge Padilla, John Davies, and Su-Ann Lim.
