Ying is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.
Ying specializes in the application of economic theory and analysis to competition cases. Her experience covers a wide range of sectors including technology, transportation, manufacturing, and insurance brokerage.
Ying has been involved in a number of competition cases in relation to mergers and allegations of anticompetitive practices before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), and other national competition authorities and courts. Her Phase II merger experience in the EU and the UK includes Broadcom/VMware, NVIDIA/Arm, and Aon/Willis Towers Watson. Ying is also part of the team providing economic support to a technology client in an ongoing litigation before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).
Ying holds an MSc in Economics (Distinction) and a BSc in Economics (First Class Honours) from University College London. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
