Waldemar is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Copenhagen.
Waldemar specializes in the application of economic analysis and data science techniques to competition cases, with a focus on investigations into anti-competitive conduct and assessment of competitive impact of mergers. His experience covers a wide range of industries including multi-sided digital platforms, digital advertising, aerospace component manufacturing, FMCG’s, among others.
Waldemar has been involved in several high-profile multinational mergers, such as Yokohama Rubber Company/Trelleborg Wheel Systems, Parker Hannifin/Meggitt, Auction Technology Group/LiveAuctioneers, and Aon/Willis Towers Watson. He has also advised in several Nordic matters related to firm conduct and potential investigations from national competition authorities.
More recently, Waldemar is involved in a high-profile case related to a global multi-sided digital platform.
Waldemar is a contributor to Compass Lexecon’s data science team. He holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
