Vladimir Tsimaylo is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

Vladimir has worked as a professional consultant for 8 years, both in economic and financial services, with his main area of expertise being the quantification of losses in the context of international commercial and investment treaty cases. His consulting experience includes damages assessment, asset and business valuation, financial and regulatory analysis.

Vladimir’s recent projects cover disputed investments in several industries (such as renewable energy generation, oil and gas, infrastructure, banking and real estate) and geographies (the EU, FSU/CIS, Latin America, North Africa). He has designed complex and customized valuation models for different types of securities with an emphasis on emerging markets. Vladimir’s latest assignments include the preparation of expert witnesses for arbitration and litigation hearings under ICSID, ICC, PCA, CAT and UK High Court of Justice rules.

Vladimir has also been involved in multiple consultancy engagements, including legal claim investment advisory, regulation analysis, tariff modelling and state aid investigations.

Vladimir holds an M.Sc. In Finance from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, and a B.Sc. in Economics from National Research University – Higher School of Economics, with a special focus on Corporate Finance. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
