Verdi Choo is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Singapore.

Verdi specializes in the application of economic analysis to the study of competition policy, including the competitive impact of mergers, anticompetitive practices, and damages estimations.

Verdi has been involved in several merger cases before the European Commission. He worked on Phase II merger investigations PKN Orlen/Lotos and E.ON/Innogy by the European Commission. He also contributed to the economic analyses performed for the EC merger proceedings of Marsh & McLennan Companies/Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group in the insurance brokers sector and The Walt Disney Company/Twenty-First Century Fox. In addition, he is working with a team conducting damages estimation for a heavy truck manufacturer in the context of litigation proceedings.

Verdi holds a BSc (Honours degree) in Economics from the University of Warwick.
