Thomas Bowman is a Senior Vice President based in Compass Lexecon’s London office.
He has over a decade of experience advising clients on the economics of competition law cases.
Thomas has a deep knowledge and experience of the tech sector, advising significant tech clients in complex regulatory investigations before the CMA and the European Commission. He also has substantial experience advising clients in landmark behavioral investigations involving complex theories of harm (including Qualcomm (Exclusivity Payments) and Qualcomm (Predation)), and in private litigation matters before the CAT (including acting for the merchant claimants in the Umbrella Interchange Fee proceedings, and for Qualcomm in the Which? class action).
Thomas also has extensive experience in merger cases before the European Commission and national authorities across a wide range of industries, including FIS/TSYS, Sportradar/IMGA, Google/Photomath, Google/Fitbit, Amazon/IMGA, NVidia/Arm, Disney/Fox, Hutchinson 3G UK/Telefonica Ireland, Hutchinson 3G Italy/Wind, SSAB/Rautaruuki, Hillarys/Hunter Douglas, and Marsh & McClennan/JLT.
He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from University College London (UCL), where he specialized in industrial organization, and an M.A. (Cantab) in Economics from Trinity College, University of Cambridge.
