Dr. Tania Fernandez is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Madrid.
Tania’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy issues in the context of Article 101 and Article 102 proceedings and the quantification of damages cases in the context of private litigations.
Her consultancy work includes mergers, cartels, abuse of dominant position, and follow-on damages cases. Her experience covers a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, and transportation.
She holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics. Her research previous to join Compass Lexecon was focused on Applied Microeconomics and has been published in leading general and field academic journals, such as Science Advances or the European Journal of Political Economy.
She speaks Spanish and English, as well as Galician.
