Sara Cosimo is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Brussels.
Sara specialises in the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to the study of competition policy, including the assessment of market definition, the competitive impact of mergers, anticompetitive practices and damages estimations.
Sara has been involved in several competition cases before the European Commission as well as national competition authorities, such as the UK CMA, the Chilean FNE and the Polish UOKiK. In the recent past, she worked on the Air Canada/Air Transat, Alstom/Bombardier Transportation and Widex/Sivantos mergers investigated by the European Commission. She was also part of the team that advised a large semiconductor manufacturer in connection with an Article 102 TFEU investigation and part of the team that supported a member of the pre-stressing steel cartel during damages proceedings before the Tribunale di Milano.
Sara holds a Master and Bachelor in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.
