Raquel Díez is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Madrid.

Raquel’s consultancy work has focused on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy issues in the context of Article 101 and Article 102 proceedings, the assessment of the competitive effect of mergers, and the quantification of damages in the context of private litigations. She also has significant expertise in international arbitration matters related to the valuation of intellectual property, in particular, the valuation of standard-essential patents under terms that are fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND).

Raquel has worked on cases before the European Commission, as well as various competition authorities; and she has given expert testimony before Spanish courts. Her experience covers a wide range of industries including the manufacturing, digital platforms, technology, telecommunications, and entertainment & media industries.

Raquel holds an M.Sc. in Economic Analysis from the Universidad Carlos III and a BA in Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During her studies at Universidad Carlos III, she specialized in applied econometrics. She also holds a MA in EU Competition Law from the King’s College London.
