Paolo is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.
Paolo’s work specializes in the application of economic analysis and empirical techniques to competition policy cases. His work includes damages estimation and the assessment of the competitive effects of mergers and anticompetitive practices.
Paolo has worked on a variety of cases, including merger reviews before the European Commission and other national competition authorities, as well as follow-on damages proceedings in Italy and the UK. His case experience spans industries including transportation, agriculture, and manufacturing.
Paolo holds a M.Sc. in Economic and Social Sciences and a B.Sc. in International Economics and Finance, both awarded with distinction from Bocconi University, where he specialized in industrial organization and competition policy. Before joining Compass Lexecon, he worked as a Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in London and as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at Bocconi University in Milan.
