Kirupa Ramaiah is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in Chicago. His areas of expertise include antitrust & competition economics, industrial organization, microeconomics and applied econometrics. Dr. Ramaiah has consulted and directed a variety of economic studies related to litigation and regulatory matters including: mergers and joint venture, antitrust litigation, damage analysis, price fixing, and intellectual property. He has conducted econometric studies in a variety of industries, including tobacco, airlines, office supplies, telecommunications, various other consumer products, and presented his analysis to various government regulatory agencies in the US and China, including the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and MOFCOM. Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Dr. Ramaiah taught at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Rhode Island College. He has also served as a visiting professor at the U.S. Business School in Prague, Czech Republic, where he taught Decision Science/Business Statistics in the MBA program. Dr. Ramaiah received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northern Illinois University. He has published scholarly articles in applied microeconomics and applied econometrics, and presented his work at various professional meetings.
