Jussi is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Helsinki.

Jussi’s work focuses on the application of economic analysis and empirical techniques to competition policy cases, with expertise in quantification of damages in the context of litigations as well as in working with bidding data.

His work has included the assessment of competitive effects in mergers, and economic analyses under Article 101 and Article 102 TFEU proceedings. Jussi has worked on cases before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the Department of Justice and other national competition authorities in the EU and outside the EU.

Recently, Jussi assisted in providing economic advice to a party accused of participating in a cartel in the construction sector and he was part of the team that provided economic advice to the merging parties in Cargotec/Konecranes (container handling equipment), subject to a Phase II merger investigation by the European Commission. He also contributes to economic analyses related to the damage quantifications for a heavy truck manufacturer in the context of litigation proceedings in EU Courts.

Jussi holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Hanken School of Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
