Jun Kai Wee is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in the Singapore office.
Jun Kai has over seven years of experience advising clients on competition matters across EMEA and Asia Pacific. He was previously based in Compass Lexecon’s London office and was part of the team advising on merger and market investigation matters before the European Commission, UK CMA and other national authorities. In 2016, he left Compass Lexecon to help found the Singapore office of another economic consultancy. He rejoined Compass Lexecon in 2020 with the launch of the Singapore office.
Jun Kai has advised both public and private sector clients in the Asia Pacific region. He managed the teams assisting the CCCS with their Digital E-commerce Platform Market Study and a regional merger investigation. He also advised Gas Malaysia Berhad on their response to the introduction of Third Party Access to the gas market in Peninsular Malaysia over two years. He was also part of the team assisting the Emergency Services Levy Insurance Monitor of New South Wales with a review of market competitiveness and the consumer protection framework applicable to general insurance in Australia.
Jun Kai holds an M.Sc. in Economics and Management and a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
