Juan A García

Juan Antonio García is a Senior Economist with Compass Lexecon based in Buenos Aires. He has worked with Compass Lexecon for over six years performing damages assessments, valuation of businesses and assets, and economic, financial, and regulatory analysis in the context of commercial and investment arbitrations.

Juan has mostly worked on arbitration proceedings under ICSID, ICC, and IACP rules. He has worked on cases in various industries including oil and gas, electricity distribution, mining, telecommunications, transportation, and food and beverage. These proceedings were located in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Uruguay, and required the development of complex valuation models, the production of economic and financial research, the drafting of expert reports, the preparation of expert witnesses for hearings, and direct support to counsel and client throughout arbitration proceedings.

Juan holds an MA in Finance from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and BAs in Finance and in Accounting from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE). Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, Juan worked as a research analyst in Crisil Irevna Argentina.
