José Luis Rueda Calavia

José Luis is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Madrid.

José Luis specializes in applying economic analysis and econometric methods in the context of competition policy cases. In particular, his expertise covers advising on matters related to follow-on damages litigation cases, merger control procedures and abuse of dominance investigations. José Luis has also advised on the quantification of damages in commercial dispute cases.

José Luis’ experience covers a wide range of sectors, including the shipbuilding industry, the vehicle manufacturing industry, the agri-food sector and the market of automotive fuels. He has been involved in matters related to the Spanish and the European jurisdictions.

José Luis is an economist educated in Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he specialized in quantitative microeconomic analysis. He has also also undertaken different executive education programs focusing on the application of quantitative methods in competition analysis as well as competition law.
