Dr. Johannes Odenkirchen is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Düsseldorf and Brussels.
Johannes’ work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques to competition policy cases, including antitrust investigations, cartel damage estimations, and merger control cases.
He has been involved in a number of high-profile competition cases before the European Commission, the CMA, the Federal Cartel Office in Germany and other national authorities, and assisted legal teams in court proceedings in the UK, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Hungary, among others.
His work experience covers a range of industries, including energy, gasoline, telecommunication, aviation, auctions, transport (trucks), high-end technical equipment and e-commerce.
Before joining Compass Lexecon, Johannes worked for another established economic consultancy where he also gained experience on cartel damage cases and regulatory investigations.
Johannes holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). His research interests lie in Industrial Organization and Applied Microeconomics.
