Javier Campos is an Academic Affiliate at Compass Lexecon, based in Spain.

Javier Campos is Associate Professor of Industrial Organization in the Department of Economic Analysis at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has more than 25 years of experience as a lecturer and researcher in the areas of industrial organization, competition policy and transport economics. His publications include more than 60 research articles, books and papers in these areas, and he has also participated in numerous regional, national and international research projects.

Javier holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He also obtained an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and later, after studying at CEMFI (Madrid), he got a PhD in Economics from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where he is co-director of the Chair in Transport Economics.

As a consultant, Javier has worked for The World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Investment Bank, gaining field experience in the evaluation of transport policies and investment projects in several Latin American countries.
