Janne Sirniö

Janne Sirniö is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Helsinki.
Janne’s work focuses on the application of economic analyses and empirical techniques to intellectual property rights and value estimation. He has worked on cases both with large experienced licensors as well as establishing new licensing programmes for new devices and licensors.
Recently, Janne has worked on assessment of FRAND rates in arbitrations, litigations and licence negotiations. He has also worked on estimating the value added of technological properties and reviewing intellectual property valuation in plant variety rights and life sciences.
Before joining Compass Lexecon, Janne worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments where he analysed portfolio performance.
He holds an MA in Economics from Waseda University, Japan and an MA in Economics from Glasgow University in Scotland.
