Hugo de Sevin

Hugo de Sevin is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Paris.

Hugo has 8 years of consulting experience and a deep expertise of the European power market and generation technologies. He has worked on power market modelling, commercial due diligence and business case strategy projects for a large number of clients, involving utilities, developers, investors and public entities.

Before joining Compass Lexecon in 2023, Hugo was working as a Manager at E-CUBE Strategy Consultants where he was involved in commercial due diligence, market analysis and strategic assessments of business cases for energy companies.

Prior to that, he was leading the French power market team at Baringa Partners in London. He developed the firm's activity in France and oversaw a large number of projects on a wide range of topics (Due diligence and support for the financing of renewable portfolios, valuation of flexible assets, strategic market scans), and developed new areas of modelling (such as capacity markets, ancillary services, CfD auctions), for several geographies.

He holds two Master’s in engineering from Ecole Centrale Nantes and Technical University of Denmark and speaks fluently English, with conversational level in Spanish and Italian.
