Gwilhem Charbonnier is a Vice President at Compass Lexecon, based in Lisbon.
With over 10 years of experience in consulting, Gwilhem has advised numerous clients on competition cases before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, the Competition Commission of South Africa and other national authorities.
He has worked on high-profile merger investigations such as Novo Holdings/Catalent, Orange/MasMóvil JV, Bayer/Monsanto, and T-Mobile NL/Tele2 NL by the European Commission, and Farfetch/YNAP, NortonLifeLock/Avast, and Amazon/Deliveroo by the UK CMA, as well as other transactions and risk assessments (for transactions in front of the CMA, the EC, and in other jurisdictions).
Gwilhem is also part of the team that advises a heavy truck manufacturer during damage litigation proceedings in France and the Netherlands in particular following an Article 101 TFEU infringement, and the team that advises various clients during the umbrella interchange fee proceedings at the UK Competition Appeals Tribunal.
Gwilhem is fluent in English and French and received his MPhil Economics from the University of Cambridge, and his B.A. Economics from the University of Exeter.
