Gustavo De Marco is a Senior Vice President in the Miami office of Compass Lexecon. He specializes in economic, financial, contractual and regulatory analysis; valuation of businesses and other assets; and the assessment of damages in the context of international and commercial arbitration.

Mr. De Marco has provided expert testimony and managed teams in the elaboration of expert reports in more than 50 arbitration proceedings under ICSID, ICC, PCA, UNCITRAL and SCC rules. He also co-heads Compass Lexecon’s construction arbitration practice, which focus on disputes related to engineering, construction and schedule analysis.

During his 12 years of professional experience, Mr. De Marco has worked extensively in several industries (infrastructure, oil and gas, electricity, food and beverages, insurance, hospitality, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, real state, steel and water services), advising companies and sovereign states in relation to regulated and non-regulated activities. His experience involves projects in numerous countries in Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and Mexico), Europe (Croatia, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey and Ukraine) and Africa (Egypt and Zambia).

Mr. De Marco holds an MA in Finance from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and a BA in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (UNT). Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he served as a Senior Associate at LECG.
