Carla Banfi

Carla Banfi is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.
Her work focuses on the application of economic analysis and econometrics techniques to competition policy. Her work has focused mostly on the assessment of the estimation of damages in price fixing cartels, and also on competitive effects of mergers.
Prior work experience includes working as an Economist at Fiscalía Nacional Económica (National Competition Authority), Chile, where she was involved in cases of abuse of dominant position (exclusive contracts and rebates) and concerted practices. The job included working within interdisciplinary teams of economists and lawyers.
Carla holds a M.Sc. in Competition and Market Regulation from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (BGSE). She also holds a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Economics, both from University of Chile.
