Carla Banfi is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.
Carla specializes in the application of economic analysis and econometrics techniques to competition policy matters. Her work has focused mainly on the assessment of damages in price-fixing cartels, and on the competitive effects of mergers.
Carla’s previous experience includes working as an Economist at Fiscalía Nacional Económica (National Competition Authority) in Chile, where she was involved in cases analyzing abuse of dominance (exclusive contracts and rebates) and concerted practices. This involved working within interdisciplinary teams of economists and lawyers.
Carla holds an M.Sc. in Competition and Market Regulation from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (BGSE). She also holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Economics, both from the University of Chile.
