Anton Garcia is a Senior Vice President with Compass Lexecon and heads its energy practice in Spain.

Anton is an economist with an academic training in industrial organization with close to 15 years of experience in applying economic analysis to regulation and competition issues, with a special focus on the energy sector. At Compass Lexecon Anton has been involved in a number international arbitration cases dealing both with commercial and investment arbitration in the electricity and gas sectors. Anton has testified as economic expert under both ICSID and PCA arbitrations as well as in front on national tribunals. Anton has also presented expert reports on competition policy matters before the Spanish Competition Authority and the European Commission.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon Anton was a Director at the Economic Bureau of the Spanish Prime Minister where he lead a team of economists responsible for advising the PM on a wide range of sectoral policies, including Energy and Climate Change, Telecommunications and Technology, and Transport. Anton has also been an independent consultant to the Spanish electricity regulator.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Carlos III in Madrid.
