Andrea is an Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in Milan.
Andrea specialized in the application of economic analysis to competition cases, with a focus on the competitive impact of mergers, anticompetitive practices, litigations and damages estimations.
Andrea has been involved in several high-profile cases before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the Italian Antitrust Authority (AGCM) and Italian Courts.
Andrea has acted as technical expert before the Court of Milan and Naples in the context of several proceedings and he has supported the CL team before the Court of Rome. Andrea worked in a wide range of sectors, including digital platforms, manufacturing, retail, sports, technology telecommunications and transportation.
Before joining Compass Lexecon, Andrea was an Academic Fellow at Bocconi University and he worked as Junior Researcher at Bocconi University and University of Mannheim.
Andrea holds a B.Sc. in International Economics and Finance (major in Economics) and an M.Sc. in Economics – both summa cum laude – from Bocconi University, where he specialized in competition policy, industrial organization and microeconomics theory.
