Abul Fazal

Abul is a Senior Economist at Compass Lexecon, based in London.

He has several years of experience as an economic consultant, with a current focus on competition economics and previous experience in economic regulation of network industries.

Abul has advised clients through a wide range of matters including antitrust investigations, market reviews, mergers, competition litigation and policy impact assessments. His experience spans across a wide range of industries including digital markets, financial services (including payments), telecoms, and energy. Abul was also seconded with the UK Competition and Markets Authority, where he focused on digital markets cases.

Before working as an economic consultant, Abul was briefly with one of the big 4 accounting firms, where he trained as an accountant and specialized in valuation of financial derivatives.

Abul holds an MSc and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is also a qualified chartered accountant. He is also currently studying for a part-time MSc in Machine Learning and Data Science at Imperial College London.
