Asia Pacific

Compass Lexecon in Asia Pacific provides expert economic advice related to competition policy, economic and financial regulation, public policy, and the assessment of damages.

Our Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing offices serve as the hub for Compass Lexecon’s work throughout the Asia Pacific region, in close connection with our offices in the Americas and in Europe. Our presence in almost all major jurisdictions allows us to provide coherent global strategies while recognizing the differences in diversified economies.

We believe that critical economic issues are best understood when subjected to a rigorous and situation-specific analysis. Our experts combine empirical analysis with a deep understanding of Asia Pacific business norms, historical context, and industry knowledge.

We have worked for competition authorities throughout the region, including the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (“MOFCOM”), the Hong Kong Competition Commission (“HKCC”), and the Competition & Consumer Commission of Singapore (“CCCS”). We also have significant case experience with clients investigated by authorities in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan.

Globally, we have over 750 professionals located across 22 offices. This includes over 200 highly skilled Ph.D. economists and econometricians. Many of our professionals have held leading positions at government agencies, including six former chief economists of the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, and in Asia Pacific, a former chief economist of the Hong Kong Competition Commission and principal economist of the Australian ACCC. We maintain relationships with numerous high-profile academic affiliates around the world, including Nobel Prize winners.

Over the past 17 years, Compass Lexecon has been ranked as one of the leading antitrust economics firms in the world by the Global Competition Review.
