Compass Lexecon is pleased to announce that Dr. Louis Wilde has affiliated with the firm as Senior Consultant. From 1976 to 1992, Dr. Wilde was on the faculty of the California Institute of Technology, where his research focused on consumer behavior, industrial organization, and law and economics. He also served as Executive Officer for the Social Sciences and Master of Student Houses. He has numerous academic publications and has been awarded a variety of research grants and fellowships including a Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship.

Dr. Wilde became a full-time economic consultant in 1992, primarily serving as a consultant or testifying expert in litigation. He has been retained on numerous high-profile cases including the Kim Bassinger breach of contract lawsuit, Netscape v. Microsoft, and Deepwater Horizon. His practice eventually focused on environmental damages, particularly large-scale class actions involving claims of property value diminution. He has testified in a number of such cases with notable settlement or trial outcomes for the parties on behalf of whom he testified, including zero defense verdicts on large damage claims despite determinations of liability.

A new version of Compass Lexecon is available.
