Compass Lexecon experts from three continents were recognized in an annual survey of top international commercial arbitration experts conducted by Who’s Who Legal. The ranking, which includes 89 of the world’s most highly regarded arbitration damages and valuation practitioners, is published every year and is based on a survey of top law firms as well as independent lawyers.

Compass Lexecon experts recognized this year included Manuel Abdala, Santiago Dellepiane, Joseph Kalt, Jorge Padilla, Marcelo Schoeters, Pablo Spiller, and Sebastian Zuccon.

The publication highlighted Joseph Kalt as a “world-class expert in competition economics”, Pablo Spiller as “untouchable on cross-examinations”, it praised Manuel Abdala’s “wealth of experience” and also recognized Jorge Padilla as a top expert in Europe. These four experts were in prior Who’s Who rankings. Three Compass Lexecon were included for the first time: Santiago Dellepiane in New York, and Marcelo Schoeters and Sebastian Zuccon in Buenos Aires. Schoeters and Zuccon are the only two experts included in the Who’s Who survey for all of South America.

Who’s Who Legal recognized our experts for their extensive experience acting as damages and valuation experts in domestic and international arbitration, including disputes under AAA, ICC, SCC, ICSID and other arbitration venues and often delivering expert testimony in those proceedings.

Compass Lexecon's economists and financial experts have worked in all areas of international arbitration, delivering independent economic analysis, valuation opinions, damages assessments, regulatory opinions, expert reports and arbitration testimony. Our international arbitration team includes economists based in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. In addition, we have the capability of drawing upon an extensive network of specialist affiliates for additional capabilities in specific industries and niche areas, including within our corporate parent.

Nominees for the Global Arbitration Review’s list of The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration are selected based on a comprehensive, independent survey of both general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide. Only specialists who have met independent international research criteria are candidates. Individuals selected for this elite list possess an outstanding depth of knowledge in their area of expertise. These professionals also are recognized for their skill in giving expert oral evidence in commercial arbitrations, encompassing examination in chief, cross-examination and, increasingly, witness conferencing.
