In approving the settlement of the coordinated Initial Public Offering Securities Litigation involving over 300 cases, Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, in a lengthy opinion, repeatedly cited Compass Lexecon expert Professor Daniel R. Fischel’s reports and affidavit. Professor Fischel’s reports and affidavit focused on whether the 300 stocks traded in an efficient market, and also analyzed causation, materiality and damages.
