In June 2015, the European Commission ("EC") fined manufacturers of car parking heaters for infringing Article 101 TFEU by means of a price-fixing agreement.
Compass Lexecon provided economic assistance in the context of potential damages claims from automobile manufacturers. We provided an estimation of the overcharge: based on regression analysis, we compared the evolution of prices of projects included in and excluded from the cartel. The Compass Lexecon team included Christopher Milde and Mario Polus.
