Sungi Lee

Sungi Lee is a Vice President with Compass Lexecon based in New York. His areas of expertise include damages, valuation, derivatives, structured finance, bankruptcy, product liability and mass torts, and accounting in U.S. state and federal cases, U.S. government cases, arbitrations, mediations, and international cases. He has supported expert testimony on the valuation and dispute of complex financial derivatives, fraud in mismarking and stress testing investment funds and portfolios, damages regarding investments in RMBS and CDOs, and estimating claims in bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, he models, projects, and values claims and liabilities in product liability and mass torts cases, including asbestos, silica, coal mine dust, benzene, medical devices, recalls, and automobiles; for M&A due diligence; and in the context of bankruptcy and bankruptcy trusts.

Prior to joining Compass Lexecon, he was a Director in the Securities and Finance and Product Liability and Mass torts practices at NERA Economic Consulting and spent almost 18 years supporting in-house, academic, and industry experts in the preparation of expert reports, deposition, and trial testimony.

Mr. Lee received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BS in finance and certified public accounting also from the Stern School of Business. He has been a CFA® Charterholder since 2011.
